UCO CHEERLEADING SQUADS WIN NATIONAL TITLE

The University of Central Oklahoma’s cheer and pom squads have proven they’re the best in the nation – for the ninth time in ten years.

The all-girls and stunt squads placed first at the 2012 National Cheer Association/National Dance Association Collegiate Championships, held April 11-15 in Daytona Beach, Fla., with Central’s pom squad placing fourth.

“We are immensely proud of our spirit teams not only for their excellent representation of Central, but also for their representation of Broncho pride,” said Kay Robinson, director of campus activities.

“The community support, through Facebook messages, Twitter, phone calls and texts, meant a lot to the teams.”
