KIRKPATRICK BANK BECOMES NEWEST COMMUNITY PARTNER FOR UCO SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The University of Central Oklahoma-based Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has received a $5,000 community sponsorship from Kirkpatrick Bank, making it the SBDC's newest community partner.

The new funds will help the SBDC to address the needs of young and developing small businesses, also while developing a long-term relationship with Kirkpatrick Bank to provide even more support for the area's beginning businesses.

"Not only is Kirkpatrick Bank investing in the community with its generous donation, but it also will provide our clients with excellent financial services they need to help launch or expand their business," said Susan Urbach, director of the SBDC.

"We are so thrilled about our new partnership with Kirkpatrick Bank, and we feel it will increase opportunities for growth for new and developing businesses in our community. Money is usually the top obstacle for most beginning businesses, and we are happy Kirkpatrick Bank will serve as a resource to help satisfy our client's needs."

John Meyers, senior vice president and chief lending officer for Kirkpatrick Bank, said the bank has been operating in the community for 40 years and investing locally means more than providing loans.

"Kirkpatrick Bank is locally owned, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do business with the community. We feel it is important to continue playing an active role in the community and support the development of local organizations," said Meyers.

"Our new partnership with the SBDC builds on our efforts to invest in local businesses, and it will provide our customers with access to educational programs and business consulting sources to help them grow as well."
