OKLAHOMA CENTER FOR ARTS EDUCATION PRESENTS ‘FAMILY DATE NIGHT AT THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY’

The Oklahoma Center for Arts Education at the University of Central Oklahoma will host its third annual fundraiser, “Family Date Night at the Chocolate Factory” at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the UCO Jazz Lab, 100 E Fifth Street in Edmond.

The event is a night out for both couples and families. A $75 family ticket offers admission for two adults and two children. A $50 couple’s ticket also will be available.

Adults can enjoy a catered meal, entertainment, a cash bar and a raffle. Raffle prizes include a signed football by legendary coach Barry Switzer, an autographed guitar from country music star Toby Keith, private music lessons through the Central Community Music School and more. Raffle tickets can be purchased separately for $10, and participants do not have to be present to win.

There will be a separate catered meal, hands-on art projects and a mini magic performance for children to enjoy during the night’s activities.

This event is a fundraiser for arts education and outreach on behalf of UCO’s College of Fine Arts and Design. The Oklahoma Center for Arts Education hosts approximately 150 events per year on campus and around the state. These events include the Spring Children’s Opera, summer arts camps, Arts for All workshops, which include special needs community members, and other hands-on arts outreach.

“It’s a fun way for families to go out without having to worry about their children and it benefits a great cause. The money raised will be used to keep fees for outreach programs low or completely free,” said Ines Burnham, director of the Oklahoma Center for Arts Education.
