UCO MITCHELL HALL THEATER ANNOUNCES ITS 2014-15 PERFORMING ARTS SEASON

The University of Central Oklahoma Mitchell Hall Theater announces its 2014-15 performing arts season with tickets now available for purchase both through the Mitchell Hall Box Office and online.

“This year’s season aligns with our mission to offer a wide variety of entertainment to the metropolitan community, ranging from children-based performances to classic musicals to moving dramas,” said Meghan Brasuell, director of Mitchell Hall Theater.

The season features dance, music, music theatre, opera and theatre arts performances, with special highlights including the UCO Kaleidoscope Dance Company’s commemorative 40th anniversary performance, the UCO Orchestra Symphony with guest conductor John Giordano, a musical theatre production of the iconic “A Chorus Line,” an operatic adaption of “Little Women,” a theatre arts production of the influential Germanic drama “Woyzeck,” among several others.

The season will also include the Broadway Tonight Series, specialized this year with the theme “Oklahoma Voices.”

“Not only will this theme provide big names in Broadway history who happen to be Oklahoma natives – KT Sullivan, Jimmy Webb, Sandi Patty, the premiere of ‘Rising Starr’ – the themed series also shows appreciation to our Oklahoma community,” said Brasuell.

“We want to celebrate our community, and I believe this Mitchell Hall season will do just that.”

Tickets are available for all Mitchell Hall Theater performances at click4tix.com/uco or by calling the Mitchell Hall Box Office at 405-974-3375.
