SEAN ONO LENNON RETURNS TO ACM@UCO FOR PERFORMANCE WITH THE GHOST OF A SABER TOOTH TIGER
The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (The GOASTT), an avant-garde folk music band featuring Sean Ono Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, will take the ACM@UCO Performance Lab stage for a special performance at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 10.
The performance is a part of the band’s summer tour to promote the release of their most recent album, “Midnight Sun.”
Sean Ono Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and his girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl, musician and supermodel, formed The GOASTT in 2008. Since the band’s debut, they have released various albums including “Jardin Du Luxembourg” and “La Carotte Bleue” as well as toured with The Flaming Lips. The band also has performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Jean-Claude Vannier and on shows including “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” and “Conan.”
“We were thrilled to have Sean Lennon visit ACM@UCO in late 2011 with the Yoko Plastic Ono Band when he was in Oklahoma City for a series of New Year’s Eve shows, but to have him perform at our very own venue is a huge thrill,” said Derek Brown, manager of the ACM@UCO Business Development Center.
BRONCHO, an Oklahoma-based rock band, will be the opening act for The GOASTT performance.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in advance at www.acm.preferredfan.com or at the door prior to the show. The ACM@UCO Performance Lab is located at 329 E. Sheridan Ave. in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown district.
