UCO’S ‘LITERATURE IN PERFORMANCE’ CLUB OFFERS SCRIPTWRITING WORKSHOP
The University of Central Oklahoma’s creative writing club, Literature in Performance (L.I.P.), will have their final scriptwriting workshop of the spring semester at 7:30 p.m. April 7 in Pegasus Theater in the Liberal Arts Building on Central’s campus.
L.I.P. is an organization dedicated to promoting and presenting all forms of literature and offering opportunities for students, faculty and staff to grow their skills in this outlet.
James Daro, lecturer in Central’s English department and L.I.P. sponsor, offers a scriptwriting workshop every month to help aspiring playwrights and screenwriters strengthen their skills.
Daro served as a workshop leader for the National Critics Institute at Texas State University in 2009 and has worked as an actor and director with Central’s Department of Theatre Arts, the University of Oklahoma School of Drama and Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park.
L.I.P. hosts events every Monday night in Pegasus Theater, such as open-mic nights, guest speakers and film screenings.
This event is free and open to the public.
