Botswana Native Crowned 'Miss Black UCO'

Cutline 1: Boikgapo Bolelang, a junior forensic science and criminal justice major from Botswana, was crowned Miss Black UCO 2014 during the 30th annual pageant held on Central’s campus, Saturday, Feb. 8. Bolelang was awarded a $1,600 tuition waiver. In addition to being crowned Miss Black UCO, Bolelang was awarded the Jackie Shaw Photogenic Award and the Sherill Simms Talent Award.

Cutline 2: Miss Black UCO 2014 first runner-up, Daniele Hunter of LaMesa, Texas; Miss Black UCO 2014, Boikgapo Bolelang, of Botswana; and Miss Black UCO 2014 second runner-up, Stephanie Opal Swan, of Owasso, Okla. Bolelang received a $1,600 tuition waiver, Hunter received an $850 tuition waiver and Swan received a $500 tuition waiver.
