DONATE TO CENTRAL PANTRY, WIN PREMIUM PARKING FOR A MONTH
The University of Central Oklahoma’s Office of Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) is offering parking incentives for qualifying food and hygiene items donations to the university’s Central Pantry.
Beginning in January, students, faculty and staff who donate three needed items to the pantry will receive one entry into a monthly drawing for a 30-day parking pass for the visitor parking lots located east of the Nigh University Center (NUC) and north of the Lillard Administration Building. An additional entry will be awarded for every item donated that is found on the pantry’s “high need” list.
Needed items at the pantry include canned or sealed packaged meats, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, rice, beans, hot and boxed cereals, canned soups, ramen noodles, canned fruit, applesauce, canned vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, tortillas, white and wheat bread, powdered milk and a variety of hygiene items.
High need items vary from month to month and can be found above the list of accepted items online at www.uco.edu/centralpantry.
To qualify, donations must be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday at the Transportation and Parking Services customer service window on the third floor of the NUC.
The drawing will be held at the beginning of each month for all donations made the prior month. Winners will be contacted by phone.
The Central Pantry serves UCO students, faculty and staff who may need assistance with obtaining food or basic hygiene items. The pantry partners with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to provide this assistance to members of the campus community in need.
