UCO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL CELEBRATES WORLD CULTURES
Cultures from around the globe will come together to celebrate the University of Central Oklahoma’s 38th annual International Festival hosted by the International Student Council from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Nigh University Center Ballrooms.
“Central has a rich and diverse community of international students. The International Festival allows these students to share their culture with their classmates and the community through a variety of displays, performances and food,” said Jared Scism, international activities specialist in Central’s Office of Global Affairs.
“It is also a great opportunity for people who are unable to travel abroad, but can still experience a taste of international culture from many parts of the world.”
Central’s various international student organizations will represent numerous countries, regions and continents at the festival including Africa, China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The student organizations will provide free food along with cultural performances and display booths.
The festival is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Scism at 405-974-2131 or email@example.com.
