PASSPORT UCO HOSTS LECTURE ON JAPANESE BUSINESS PRACTICES
The University of Central Oklahoma’s Passport UCO program will host George Ogawa, M.S., for a lecture on Japanese business practices at 2 p.m., Oct. 3 in the College of Business Building, Room 209.
Ogawa, a Japanese-American with more than 20 years of experience doing business in Japan, studied electrical and mechanical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. A retired business consultant, he has worked in the aerospace, semiconductor and electric power industries.
“Mr. Ogawa will share his wealth of knowledge about Japanese business practices as well as his global business perspectives,” said Wayne Stein, Ph.D., coordinator of the Passport UCO program.
In addition to his business interests, Ogawa instructs kendo, a modern Japanese martial art, at Stanford University.
Initiated in 2004, the Passport UCO program selects a country or region to celebrate during the fall semester. Its mission is to inspire unity and understanding through events that are both educational and entertaining for students and the surrounding community.
