ACM@UCO Bands to Perform at Mumford and Sons' Gentlemen of the Road Guthrie Stopover Street Festival

ACM@UCO BANDS TO PERFORM AT MUMFORD AND SONS’ GENTLEMEN OF THE ROAD GUTHRIE STOPOVER DOWNTOWN STREET FESTIVAL
Various student and alumni bands from the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO) will perform at the Mumford and Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road Guthrie Stopover Downtown Street Festival Sept. 5 – 7 in Guthrie, Okla.
ACM@UCO bands performing at the Downtown Street Festival include Bowlsey, folk-infused hip-hop band, from 5 – 6 p.m., Sept. 5; Ashford, contemporary rock duo, from 10 – 11 a.m., Sept. 6; Horse Thief, psychedelic folk rock band, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Sept. 6; Them Apples, folk rock band, from 10 – 11 a.m., Sept. 7; and Oklahoma Cloud Factory, upbeat folk rock band, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Sept. 7.
“The Downtown Street Festival component of the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen of the Road Stopover event is a perfect way for local talent to get involved in this incredible national event,” said Scott Booker, ACM@UCO CEO.
“The opportunity to play in this sort of environment is truly going to be a transformational experience for our students.”
The Downtown Street Festival will feature local entertainment, plus a wide variety of food and beverages, arts, crafts and fun. The festival is free to those who have purchased a Stopover Passport for the main stage concert with the included wristband. The general public can purchase a wristband for the street festival for $5 (cash only) at a booth located at the intersection of Division and Oklahoma streets in downtown Guthrie.
