UCO STUDENT CHOSEN AS INTERN AT GOVERNOR’S OFFICE
University of Central Oklahoma senior Rilee Harrison, a political science major from Sallisaw, is one of 11 students from Oklahoma universities selected as an intern for Governor Mary Fallin’s office.
Harrison will receive three hours of college credit spending the summer working within the public affairs division of the governor’s office.
“Working in the governor’s office is a really humbling and exciting learning experience. When I applied for internships I wanted to be able to learn and work with the best in my field of study. I'm honored and lucky I get to do just that by working with these experienced professionals,” said Harrison.
As a student at Central, Harrison is the director of Stampede Week for New Student Orientation, campus involvement chair of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and is the media relations chair for the Real Estate Club.
After graduating from Central in spring 2014, he plans to attend law school. His dream is to be a practicing attorney with a special focus in business and real estate development.
