UCO-BASED EDUCATORS’ LEADERSHIP ACADEMY NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2013-14 CLASSES
The University of Central Oklahoma-based Educators’ Leadership Academy (ELA) is now accepting applications for its 2013-14 classes.
Now in its 15th year, the statewide program offers professional leadership development with academies for K-12, career-tech and higher education administrators, higher education department chairs, professors, principals, and administrative support professionals.
This program provides education professionals with opportunities to develop their leadership skills that will enable them to be the positive, ethical, and effective leaders in their community.
“ELA creates an optimum environment for education to flourish including the building of collaborative networks among educators across the system,” said Cary Williams, director of ELA and faculty leadership development.
“Institutions have been so pleased with the results that they send several new leaders each year. By the end of 2012, over 1700 Oklahoma educators had successfully completed an ELA academy.”
More information about each academy and applications are available on the ELA website at www.uco.edu/ela. Deadlines vary for each academy. Applicants should print the form for the academy of their choice and submit it before the deadline listed.
