UCO SIGMA GAMMA RHO CHAPTER HONORS COMMUNITY LEADERS
The University of Central Oklahoma’s chapter of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. will honor seven community leaders at the L.E.N.D. (Leaders Empowering for a New Day) A HAND awards banquet at noon Dec. 15 in the Nigh University Center’s Heritage Room on Central’s campus.
“We want to show people you don’t have to be a celebrity or on television to make a difference. At the L.E.N.D A HAND awards banquet we want to recognize outstanding community leaders who have influenced our sorority by the work they have done in our local community,” said Vernelia McKnight, L.E.N.D A HAND chairman and epistoleus of the Sigma Gamma Rho alumni chapter.
