UCO TO PRESENT ANNUAL HOLIDAY MUSIC REVUE ‘BOOGIE WOOGIE CHRISTMAS’ AT UCO JAZZ LAB

The University of Central Oklahoma Musical Theatre Division will present its popular annual holiday musical revue, this year titled “Boogie Woogie Christmas,” at 8 p.m., Nov. 29 – Dec. 1 and Dec. 6 – 8 at the UCO Jazz Lab, located at 100 E. Fifth St. in Edmond.

“Now in its eleventh year, the UCO annual holiday musical revue has become an Edmond tradition, which we look forward to performing every year,” said Shannon Hurleigh, M.F.A., instructor of musical theatre and the production’s director/choreographer.

Featuring a cast of 10 musical theatre student vocalists and two vocal/dance ensembles, “Boogie Woogie Christmas” showcases both traditional Christmas songs and contemporary holiday tunes. This year’s program ranges from the classic “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” to the hip-swinging “I Want To Spend Christmas With Elvis.”

“Attending the production of ’Boogie Woogie Christmas’ is a great way to kick-start the holiday season,” Hurleigh added.

Tickets to “Boogie Woogie Christmas” are $15 and can be purchased by calling 405-974-3375. Due to the show’s annual popularity, reservations are strongly recommended.

Hideaway Pizza and refreshments will be available for purchase.
